Education:
Graduated in 1999 from Genesee Community College with an Associates of Applied Science degree as a physical therapist assistant.
Clinical internships:
While in school, internships
included experience in a skilled nursing facility, outpatient sports medicine
and acute care unit in a hospital setting.
Experience:
Work experience includes sports medicine, skilled nursing facility and outpatient orthopedic facilities with patients ranging from
teens to geriatric.

Experience in the sports medicine
facility includes return to sport rehab for ACL & rotator cuff repairs as
well as other sprain/strain injuries. Working with athletes from high school to professional level
on sport specific activities to prepare them for return to sport.

Experiences in skilled nursing
facility include general strengthening (whether from general deconditioning or
from a surgical procedure) to prepare the patients for a return to home or to
improve quality of life while continuing residency at the SNF.
Time was spent with patients improving function with ADL’s to help them
become more independent whether they planned on going home or staying in the SNF.

Experiences at the outpatient
orthopedic clinic include low back injury (disc, muscular and nerve related),
hip and knee replacement, ACL and rotator cuff repair, general sprain/strain
injury.
